Edge Guard Fit Guide
Choose your edge guard size based on your paddle’s core thickness
S • 0.800"
Best for: 12mm paddles
M • 0.875"
Best for: 14mm paddles
L • 0.950"
Best for: 16mm paddles
Unsure? Tell us your paddle model & size and we’ll do our best to help you acquire the perfect fit.
Because paddle manufacturers use different standards for reporting core and edge-guard thickness, sizing can vary slightly between brands. We’re consistently updating and refining our guide as we collect more real-world measurements to give you the most accurate recommendations possible.
Simple Install Steps
Clean the paddle edge
Use an alcohol pad or rubbing alcohol and a gray or black microfiber towel.
(Avoid yellow towels — dye can transfer onto lighter paddles.)
Begin at the top of the grip
Start wrapping right above the handle/neck area while holding the paddle upside down.
Work slowly around the paddle
Pull 4–5 inches of backing at a time as you wrap.
Press with your thumb
Always push from the section that is already set toward the section that has not been set.
During the wrap, create an even overlap
Ensure the overlap is even on both the left and right sides, then finish setting that area by pressing from the outside edge onto the face for a clean, secure seal.
Trim any excess film
Use a sharp blade to cleanly trim excess material — or make a small mark with a pen, lift the vinyl, make your cut, and then set the material back down for a smooth finish.
Optional Step (for older paddles)
Refresh worn edges
For older paddles with chips or rough spots, lightly sand the edge with 800–1000 grit sandpaper before wrapping. This creates a smooth underside and helps the vinyl sit flawlessly.
Why Our Edge Guard Wraps Cost a Little More
At Vinyl Styles Edge Guards, we’re committed to giving players gear that doesn’t just protect — it performs. You’ll find cheaper wraps on the market, but here’s what sets ours apart:
Premium Materials: We source high-durability vinyls that are built to last. That means better adhesion, longer life, and colors that won’t fade or peel after a few games.
Unique Finishes & Colors: From Prism Shift to Obsidian Green, each wrap is crafted to stand out — no generic films, no cookie-cutter designs.
Precision Cut & Fit: Our wraps are engineered to fit seamlessly on any paddle shape, protecting against chips and scratches without adding bulk or weighing down your game.
Handcrafted Quality: Every edge guard is prepped, tested, and packaged with care. We’re players ourselves — so we know what works and what doesn’t.
When you choose Vinyl Styles, you’re not just buying protection. You’re investing in durability, performance, and style that outlasts the cheap stuff — and keeps your paddle looking as good as your game.
Vinyl Styles Edge Guards — made for players who want the best.
